Funnel templates
Coaching application funnel
Coaches do not need checkout pages. They need fewer, better calls. This funnel filters for fit before anyone gets on your calendar.
This page contains paid links to Systeme.io. We may earn a commission if you sign up through them. Disclosure.
Coaching, consulting and done-for-you services rarely sell on a checkout page. The sale happens on a call, so the funnel's job is to fill your calendar with people who are a good fit and ready to talk.
- Content or lead magnetshow how you think
- Application page5-7 questions
- Booking pagecalendar for qualified applicants
- Reminder emailsconfirm, prepare, remind
- Calldiagnose and propose
Why an application step
A plain "book a call" link fills your week with people who are curious but not ready. A short application does three things: it filters out poor fits, it tells you what to prepare, and it makes the call feel worth showing up for.
The application questions
Keep it to five to seven questions. More than that and good prospects quit.
- What is your situation right now? (short answer)
- What result do you want in the next 90 days?
- What have you already tried?
- What is getting in the way?
- How soon do you want to start? (now, within a month, just exploring)
- Are you able to invest in help if it is a fit? (yes, not right now)
Route the answers: people who say "just exploring" or "not right now" go to a free resource and your newsletter, not your calendar.
The booking page
- Show only the times you actually want to take calls.
- Ask for the time zone and confirm it in the email.
- Add a short "what to expect" paragraph: length of the call, that it is a conversation, not a pitch marathon.
- Optional: take a refundable deposit to reduce no-shows. Tell people clearly how it is refunded or applied.
Emails around the call
- Booked: time, link, and one question to think about.
- Day before: reminder and a short case or idea relevant to their answers.
- One hour before: the link again.
- After the call: a summary of what you discussed, your proposal or next step, and how to say yes.
- No decision after a week: one friendly check-in, then move them to your newsletter.
Building it free
Systeme.io includes a booking calendar that it describes as working like Calendly, with confirmation emails and optional deposits or full payments at booking, connected to your funnels and CRM pipeline, per its features page. That means the application, booking, reminders and follow-up can live in one free account rather than three tools. If you sell coaching packages online as well, add a checkout page later.
Numbers to watch
- Applications per 100 visitors to the application page
- Show-up rate for booked calls
- Proposals accepted per 10 calls
These tell you whether to fix traffic, the application filter, or the call itself.
Frequently asked questions
Should coaches put prices on the funnel?
It depends on your market. Showing a starting price filters out poor fits early; hiding it can bring more calls but more mismatches. Either way, never surprise people on the call.
How do I reduce no-shows?
Ask for a commitment in the application, send the three reminders above, and consider a small refundable deposit.
Is this the same as a lead magnet funnel?
It often starts with one. The difference is the destination: a booked call instead of a checkout page.
